On 9th of March, we opened the doors of The Foundry to barbers from all over the UK for a day packed with barbering, food, drinks and some special guests for our first LOOK & LEARN | SOCIAL of 2025.
The sun was shining (which isn’t always the case) for us to host Black Butter dishing up food, pals from Dice Magazine handing out mags, Horse MFG serving up merchandise - with a limited-edition Horse MFG X Uppercut Deluxe canvas clipper pouch available on the day.
First up on the tools, we had our Portuguese UCDC guys of Bigorna Parlour share their love for all things classic. Nuno threw out a beautiful side part while his brother (and co-founder of Bigorna) Carlos walked us through a traditional hot towel shave using the Uppercut Deluxe Shave Range.
To mix things up we welcomed our special guest barber; Brad Cowen (aka HBAD) to show us his way around a wild flattop. Brad’s been a friend of the brand for over a decade and a cornerstone of the classic barbering scene, so it was an honour to have him on the tools showcasing his techniques which he’s picked up over a hugely varied career.
